Karene King Improves 200m Indoor National Record

Karene King runs 23.73 for an indoor best and National Record

FEBRUARY 17—Karene King improved her 200m Indoor National Record to 23.73 seconds on Saturday in Boston, competing in the Scarlet and White Invitational at Boston University, where she finished second. She won the 60m in 7.50 seconds.

Kyron McMaster ran 48.77 to win his 400m heat and finished 3rd overall. Shaquoy Stephens had times of 6.81/22.11 in the 60/200m. He won the 60m  and placed 4th in 200.

Ashley Kelly ran a season’s best 55.09 seconds in the 400m, good enough for third place, after a 7.63 time in the 60m.

Harrigan-Scott competes in Birmingham 60m

Competing against the 2013 IAAF World Championships gold and silver medalist, Tahesia Harrigan-Scott, a 2008 IAAF World Indoor Championships 60m bronze medalist, ran 7.23 seconds in her specialty for 7th place in the Birmingham Grand Prix, in Birmingham, England on Saturday.  She ran 7.25 in the semis to make the final. Harrigan-Scott has a season’s best of 7.20 and has qualified for the March 7-9, IAAF World Indoor Championships in Sopot, Poland. This season also marks the fourth straight time Harrigan-Scott has qualified for World Indoors since 2008. She was a 2010 finalist. The championships are held every 2-years.
