Britney Wattley ran a time of 23.75 to place second in the 200 meter dash at the ECAC Championships.
PRINCETON, N.J. (May 14, 2012)–The Lady Bears competed over the weekend at the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC), hosted by Princeton University. The Lady Bears placed 8
th overall against the powerhouse conferences in the NCAA.
The Lady Bears came in first place in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 44:93. The team was leady by
Britney Wattley,
Teyanna Green,
Charisma Green, and
Ekundayo Sogbesan. The Lady Bears also had a good showing in the 100 meter dash with
Teyanna Green taking 3
rd place in a time of 11.75, while
Britney Wattley finished sixth in a time of 11.80.
Wattley would also place second in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.75.
Ekundayo Sogbesan placed fourth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 53.76.
In the field events
Ranita Mealer placed 6
th in the javelin throw with a distance of 44.47.
The Lady Bears will pause the post season running next weekend to say good bye to Lady Bears
Naomi Tucker,
Tyshia Oliver and
Kamice Smalls as the walk across the stage at this weekend's commencement service at Morgan State University. The Morgan State Media Relations Department would like to congratulate those Lady Bears.
