MARCH 9—It was a night that 2013 Carifta Games U17 Girls 400 silver medalist Tarika “Tinker Bell” Moses will cherish among her high school memories.

Competing for Flemming House in the kick off of the Elmore Stoutt High School pre sports day events leading up to the March 27-28 showcase, the meet which was run in conjunction with the BVI Athletics Association Development Series, saw Moses pulling off two doubles.

First, she ran the open 3000m in 12 minutes 22.30 second to lead a 1-2 for Flemming House giving them 18 points with a mark that is the second best by a high school female and placed her at No.3 on the territory’s All Time List.

After taking off the red Flemming vest, she donned her Sprint Tech Track Club patented red top and sprinted to 12.32 seconds into a -2.0 wind to capture the U18 Girls 100m. She was coming off running a personal best of 12.15 in another victory last week after running 1:33 in the 600m.

Top Notch Track Club’s Shaian Vandenburg who ran 12.40 behind Moses, made her 400 debut a victorious one, running a personal best 59.10 seconds from the inside corridor. Sprint Tech’s Judine Lacey turned in a season’s best 59.29, with teammates L’Tisha “Lea” Fahie and Zacharia “Zakie” Frett following in 59.55 and 59.83 respectively.
