Triples, Doubles in CUT Games Warm Up Competition

MAY 2—Several Under 15 athletes notched double and one a triple victory during the CUT Games Warm Up Development meet on Saturday evening at the A. O. Shirley Recreation Grounds, while junior and senior athletes recorded personal bests.

Top Notch Track Club’s Koen Penn snatched a triple by grabbing an Under 11 Boys Long Jump, a High Jump and 200m victories with marks of 3.89m, 1.23m and 30.66 seconds into a -1.9 headwind, respectively.

Koen’s sister Kala, got out to 5.05m in the Long Jump, then cleared 1.35m in the High Jump for her U15 Girls triumphs.

ESP Track Club’s Kadeon Potter won the Under 15 Boys 100m in 12.78 seconds, then tossed the Shot Put 13.08m.

Sprint Tech’s Arianna Hayde cut the sand at 4.68m in the Long Jump and ran  the 200m in 27.90 seconds for her U13 Girls double.

Carifta Games 800m and 4x100m Relay bronze medalist Lakeisha “Mimi” Warner, ran a personal best of 57.01 to win the Women’s Open 400m.

Her Carifta Games teammate Aundre Turnbull had a career best leap of 1.83 meters in the High Jump then disturbed the sand with another best mark of 5.92m.

Ashley Marie McCall also got a High Jump-Long Jump double, with a 1.38m clearance and a leap of 5.07m.

Half Miler Khiry Creque got some speed work in, running 23.31 and 52.12 seconds for his 200/400m double.
