BVI Hosting 2nd Leg of NACAC 10K Series on Oct 6

SEPTEMBER 19—The 3rd annual NACAC 10K Series kicked off in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on Saturday and runs though Dec 2 when the series ends in Trinidad and Tobago.

The next leg of the series will be on Tortola on October 6.

“We are looking forward to another great series this year,” event coordinator Dominique Pompee said. “We are glad to have the Dominican Republic, Antigua and Barbuda and St. Kitts and Nevis coming in as hosts this year.”

The male and female winners from each race will get a ticket to move to the next race. The prize structure will be evenly distributed among male and female participants with to both winners collecting US$500. Second place finishers will earn US$400 with those placing third taking home US$325. Fourth place is worth US$275 and fifth position US$250.

Early race registration for the Tortola leg is $15 and can be done with race director Kay Reddy at kay.reddy@blenheimbvi.com.

Other legs in the series are set for Antigua and Barbuda, Oct 21; Martinique, Nov 4 and St. Kitts and Nevis, Nov 18.
