BVI Athletics Association Ececutive Committee 2008-2012

SEPTEMBER 12—In an effort to give the new executive a better opportunity to prepare for the 2013 track and field season, the BVI Athletics Association has moved its General Meeting at which elections will be held, from Dec 3 to October 15.

With the 2013 development series set to begin on Jan 12, the organization felt that for the sport to continue making progress, the new body should have adequate time to put their plans in place for a challenging year ahead.

Starting on Sept 10 and running through Sept 28, members can pay their outstanding dues (2009-2012) which is $10 per year and $5.00 per year for persons under 18 as determined by the individual years, to be in good standing and eligible to vote.

No new members will be accepted leading up to the elections. Persons who no longer wish to be an association member, can email General Secretary Stephanie Russ Penn at bviathletics@gmail.com indicating their desire.

To facilitate the membership registration process, members can pay their dues to the following association members during the Sept 10-28 period: Roger Mathavious at Supa Valu, who will also be at the track at the A. O. Shirley Recreation Grounds, 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday’s and Thursdays; Adriana Herbert at the Development Planning Unit or Stephanie Russ Penn at HLSCC.

The nomination period for positions on the executive committee will be done between Oct 1-6. Nominees will be presented on Oct 10 and elections will be held on Oct 15.
