4x100m Women's Relay Team in USA vs The World in Penn Relays

APRIL 24—The territory’s Sr. Women’s 4x100m Relay team will get its biggest test at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, when they face the starters gun in the USA vs the World in the prestigious Penn Relays. The meet will be televised live on NBC from 1-3 p.m. Eastern Time.

Team BVI—comprised of Tahesia Harrigan Scott, Ashley Kelly, Chantel Malone and Karene King—will compete against the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Nigeria, Trinidad and Tobago along with USA Red and USA Blue.

The team will be seeking to build a mark towards qualifying for the Olympic Games in London in August, and also lay the foundation for seeking a berth in the 2013 IAAF World Championships in Moscow.

The BVI’s National Record is 44.34 seconds, ran by the foursome in 2010

The team will begin arriving in Pennsylvania on Wednesday to start preparing for Saturday’s competition.
