NASSAU, The Bahamas, April 2—Judine Lacey passed the Bahamas’ U17 Girls 4x400m Relay anchor leg in the last 50m, to give the BVI its fourth silver and record eight overall medal, to close out the 42nd Carifta Games in Nassau, Bahamas on Monday night, solidifying the territory’s historic ties to the archipelago in the championships.

MARCH 26—Stiff winds robbed birthday girl Ashley Kelly of a 200m personal best as she grabbed two second placed finishes in Saturday’s Miami Invitational, on the University of Miami campus in Coral Gables.
MARCH 25—Steven Asson overhauled Virgin Gorda’s Emrol Amsterdam in the last quarter mile, to win Saturday’s Blenheim Trust 5K Series race on Beef Island, while Kathrina Crumpler—coming off a Half Iron Man in Puerto Rico—took the women’s division.
MARCH 22—The BVI Athletics Association today, officially announced its delegation to the 42nd Carifta Games in Nassau, Bahamas, during a press conference at the Dept. of Youth Affairs and Sports.
MARCH 18—An injury that led to unlooked for performances in the 400m, Shot Put and High Jump events, caused Bethune-Cookman Jr. Keron Stoute to fall short of Paul “On The Ball” Hewlette’s National Decathlon Record on Saturday, when he won the Miami Hurricanes Invitational with 6069 points. Hewlette’s record is 6609.
MARCH 16—It was an A day after all in the 2013 Inter-Primary Schools Athletics Championships, with Alexandrina Maduro, Althea Scatliffe and Agape all going to winners row in their respective divisions.

FEBRUARY 25—Portland State Vikings Sr. Dominique Maloney obtained another goal on Saturday night at the Big Sky Indoor Conference Championships in Bozeman, Montana, when she mined 400m silver and All Conference 200m honors, before anchoring the 4x400m relay to victory.
